Booking & Cancelations

Bookings can be made by phone, text, email etc. Please note that bookings are not secured unless full details/confirmation is given.

On average we require one weeks advance booking for salon appointments, and 2 weeks for bookings with our mobile service. This increases during busy times, such as summer and Christmas.

We require a minimum of 24hours notice to cancel an appointment, this is in order to refill it. Shorter notice will be subject to a late cancelation fee, or continuous cancelations will not be rebooked.

If are running late for your appointment we ask that you call/text asap in order for us to keep you appointment. After 15mins you appointment will have to be rescheduled.

            Health Issues

We endevour to take the best care possible of your dog throughout the grooming process. However Little Paws cannot be liable for any pre-existing conditions or problems found throughout the grooming, it is the responsibility of the owner to inform us of any skin allergies or medical conditions before the groom.

Although accidents are rare, there is always a risk when dealing with animals and sharp equipment. We are very experienced, however difficult/matted dogs increase risks. In the unlikely event of injury or illness, we will of course inform you. Usually these are very minor, but be assured if needed veterinary care will be sought.

Vaccines/Fleas

It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that vaccinations, aswell as flea and tick prevention treatment is up to date. Any dog found with fleas, will be refused and a charge will incur.

Nervous /Aggresive dogs

If you feel you dog may be particularly difficult, please tell us at the time of booking. We will not refuse any dog for this reason, however the more information we have in advance means the better we can deal with the dog. This may mean, extra staff, muzzling, a private appointment, or in extreme cases sedation (this is done with Active Vet Care).

 Photographs

On occasion we may take a photo of your dog for our website or social media. If you do not wish for us to do so please inform us.

Feedback

 We will give you gerneral feedback after each groom, if you have any queries please ask at this time. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your dogs groom, please let us know before you/we leave. As we can deal with this immediately, but may not be able to at a later stage.

Payment

We accept cash payment. We do not have a card facility.

Preperation on the day of a groom

Most importantly please allow your dog to go to the toilet before their grooming, usually its best not to feed them directly before the time of grooming.

There is no need to wash your dog before we groom him/her, in fact a lot of the time its best not to!

We do ask that the dog is presented to us dry, on some occasions (depending on coat) we may not be able to groom a wet dog.

For Mobile grooming please ensure there is adequate parking for our van, with access to a power point.

For salon grooming please feel free to call us for directions if lost, to ensure you dont miss your appointment time.
